Charlestown second-graders to get laptops

All 100 second-graders at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School in Charlestown will have laptop computers to use next school year, thanks to a $33,000 state grant that was matched by nearly $23,000 in local funding.
Advertisement. The school is one of 27 statewide that are participating in a pilot research project, said Laura Taylor, director of learning resources for the Indiana Department of Education.
