Wow....just wow. Absolutely amazing. Honestly, in the same way emotional and fantastic as being the new Someone said it. I would not be aware how to start this review!
Y'all need to comprehend that i'm not and emotional person in relation to books. No, I promise I am not saying heartless, I just now don't cry easily. Yes, during books my pulse rate accelerates and I'll feel bad for the characters, but I don't actually cry. This is one of the only books where We've come this near to tears. And thats saying something.

But before I recieve into the many emotional point about this book, I would like to first talk about the characters.

Katniss is fantastic. She's incredibly strong and fierce. Now, that's my favorite type of heroine i are aware that sometimes these types learn to blend together but something I really like about her is although she might be this stuff like a great number of other heroines on the market, she's a slam dunk lovable and witty like others. She's standoffish plus a loner and yes it has a while for somebody for getting to her. She's mature beyond her years because this lady has to become. She was crowned the sole supporter of her family at this kind of early age and it also hardened her. She's a survivor. But sometimes this tough exterior became her downfall because she couldn't always see what's at the front of her: the reality that people value her. However, although its challenging past her hardened exterior, after you do, jane is a really kind and admirable person. This is especially shown through her actions on the reaping. She cared a whole lot for her family that she was happy to risk her lifetime, understanding that her chances for returning were slim, just to keep her sister safe. If it is not worth respect, however are not aware of what's.

Peeta can be another great character. He's virtually the complete complete opposite of Katniss. He's personable, caring, and charming. He truly loves Katniss even when she can't visualize it herself. Even if you do not get to understand to much about him as this is from Katniss' perspective, you are able to still observe that he's got admirable qualities too. Normally I enjoy the alpha male along with the bad-boy (Perhaps its kinda my weakness) but I do also be seduced by the sweet, respectful guys and that i fell head-over-heels for his heart.

As for secondary characters? Amazing. Each was unique in their way. Effie, sweetly oblivious Effie. Haymitch, who may drink somewhat to much, but has a heart under that surly exterior. Cinna, who truly likes you Katniss though he hardly knows her. Perhaps the other tributes each had their very own personalities that built them into unique (Don't even get me began Rue!).

This book only agreed to be so incredibly emotional. 24 kids go into an arena and only 1 comes out. I honestly can't even imagine finding yourself in their situation. I understand that I would do whatever it took to survive, but how would that change me? Each tribute only agreed to be attempting to survive. They did not need to be there (well, except a number of), but were required to be. Whenever your facing your immediate death, how would you react? Survival changes people. These different reactions on their situations were shown remarkably well through all the different tributes. Collins' does an excellent jobs of showing how folks would fare in this situation. While every one of the bloodshed when it comes to itself is disturbing, perhaps the most annoying thing for me was the truth that the people in the Capitol enjoyed it. Children were dying also to them that it was just entertainment. These were completely oblivious!! It turned out all only a game for them. So long as these were entertained, we were holding happy. It absolutely was sick. Completely and utterly sick.

And will, I felt awful with the other tributes, even as they attemptedto kill Katniss and Peeta. How could you not? We were holding thrown into a situation many of them weren't prepared for and looking to get home. Even though they were her enemies, I felt pity and guilt right together with Katniss. She, too, understands that we were holding only doing whatever they had to just do like she was.

The Hunger Games might be a dark book about death and destruction, but within its dark exterior is a beautiful story stuffed with survival, hope and fighting for what you're keen on.
KassiaPryor519
