In 2011 alone, it was projected that businesses all over the United States needed to fill approximately 400,000 . As substantial as the number sounds, apparently individuals who are trying to get the job can't get in and are having a difficult time landing on those job posts. There are numerous factors that could prevent an applicant from getting a truck driving job.

An applicant may be overlooked if he or she has been found guilty of a felony- In trucking, safety in the primary priority. Most companies are not willing to compromise this by getting somebody that has a major criminal record. Trucking firms need to pay hefty insurance, and felonious drivers may put everyone's well-being into risk and produce higher premiums.

A person may be dropped if he or she has been arrested for drug possession- Truck driving jobs require truckers to be at their fittest mentally as the work entails long hours of straight driving. Anybody who is under the influence of drugs can create disruption while at work. After all, no company would want to put their reputation at risk because one of their personnel figured in an accident because of drug use and lack of responsibility.

Any guilty verdict related to firearms may also prevent a person from getting a job- Trucking means that there are big loads of items and supplies that should be transported from one point to another, and definitely, companies would want all the truckers to be composed at all times. Someone who had been found guilty with possessing illegal firearms is probably going to bring one and use it to threaten others, surely something that most trucking companies will not risk.

Anyone who has been convicted of driving while intoxicated (DWI) or driving under influence (DUI) more than twice or within the last five years could have his or her application disregarded. - If you were imprisoned as a result of DUI or DWI, then it's more probable that you'll never get a truck driving job. Trucking firms need people that will drive without any risk of accidents along the way due to intake of alcohol.

Truck desertion within the last 5 years- Being a truck driver, the most important duty is to take good care of the truck as well as the cargo. It is an expectation from businesses that their supplies will be delivered completely and in proper manner to its intended destination as slated. They will not risk disturbing that flow by hiring somebody who has a history of abandoning the truck at the side of the road.
