New page

Natural gender selection can be confusing. There are so many different things to read and try to figure out. It's hard to plan what you should do and when you should do it! This article gives you an overview of just what "natural gender selection" is (and is not).

What is Gender Selection?

Many people wonder gender selection is. You probably learned in science that there's a 50-50 chance that when you get pregnant you get a boy or you get a girl. Sometimes, it's hard for people to imagine that there's anything that could influence those odds!

Scientific studies show pretty conclusively that there is a way to influence what gender is conceived, however. This is true in many different animal species -- it's been known in livestock for many years. It's also true in humans!

Choosing your baby's gender naturally is not a 100% sure thing (yet!), but there's definitely scientific evidence to back up natural methods. This is often called "swaying" because you sway the odds of getting a boy or a girl in your favor. So when you hear people talk about gender swaying, that's what they mean. Usually they mean natural sex selection.

Is it Guaranteed?

As I said above, you can't 100% guarantee the sex of your child when you're using natural techniques. Science just doesn't know any way to 100% guarantee that you'll get a baby girl or to 100% guarantee that you'll get a baby boy without a laboratory.

Many people would rather "sway the odds" with natural methods than not do anything at all. There have been scientists who have studied various methods of sex selection and they say that they've gotten good results with methods you can use at home.

You may have seen claims on the internet of 80% or 90% or 73% success. It's hard to make an assurance like that with an introduction to natural methods because just how much you can change your odds just isn't known yet. It has been proven that you can improve your chances of having a boy or girl (in science this is called changing the "gender ration"), but there is not conclusive percentage of just how much you change those odds.

Be Careful with Natural Sex Selection

In the lingo of the gender swaying world, if you want say a girl and you get a boy, you say that you've gotten an opposite. Or if you want a boy and you get a girl, you've gotten an opposite of what you want.

If you don't think that you can handle having an opposite baby, then it's best not to try natural gender selection. A lot of women would be happy to have a baby of either gender. They just have their heart set on either a son or a daughter. They want to know that they did everything possible to try and get what they wanted. That's where natural methods come in.

So remember, there is scientific evidence that you can change the odds and increase your chances of getting the son or daughter you desire. It's not 100%, so make sure you're okay with getting the opposite of what you're trying for! If increasing the odds sounds good to you, however, you can change your diet, take specific supplements, and modify other parts of your lifestyle to greatly improve the odds of getting the son or daughter you'd love to have!

By the way, do you want to learn more about how to choose the gender of your baby, naturally, using techniques that are safe and effective for you and your baby?
Thu, 05 Apr 2012 06:28:21 GMTJehannaShortt794http://www.aalf.org/wiki/index.php?title=Talk:JehannaShortt794
