Laptops generate curiosity among Kenyan children
Posted by: Susan Einhorn

The laptops are still in the pipeline, with the Kenya government working on modalities to ensure they fulfill the pre-election pledge made to the country’s children about a year ago.

However, while the ambitious project is three months behind schedule, this has not stopped pupils in schools across the East African nation from singing and talking about the machines.

The word laptop is perhaps the most popular among Kenya’s children today, as majority who have not seen or interacted with the gadgets, talk about them.

The machines are literally on children’s lips in Kenya, both in rural and urban areas, as they wait eagerly for the government to fulfill its pledge.
