Kenya: 80 Percent Kenyans Prefer Computer Labs to Laptops for Class Ones - Poll
Posted by: Susan Einhorn

An Ipsos survey has found 80 per cent of Kenyans prefer laptop laboratories in public primary schools, as opposed to one laptop per student.

The participants who were drawn from both Jubilee and Cord supporters, voted for laboratories while 15 per cent opted for individual laptops.

The report revealed 66 per cent of Cord supporters and 51 per cent from Jubilee do not believe the laboratory project can be implemented by 2017.

Insufficient funds is the topmost reason 37 per cent of Jubilee supporters and 24 per cent from Cord say the project will not be implemented.

Jubilee and Cord supporters agreed that procurement corruption was the second most probable reason why the project will not take off by 2017.
