PNG looks to implement "One Laptop Per Child"

Schools in Papua New Guinea are to be introduced to the "One Laptop Per Child" programme. The One Laptop Per Child scheme was developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Media Laboratory and is supported by organisations such as Google Corporation. Niue recently became the first country in the Pacific to be part of the scheme, giving laptops to to all its 500 school children.
