| Mount Vernon School District gets $658,500 grant for laptops |

| Mount Vernon City Schools, District 80 will receive a $658,500 grant to put a laptop on the desk of every teacher and student in grades 3 through 8. All 914 students in grades 3 through 8 as well as 60 teachers will receive a Windows or Android-based laptop device. All administrators, teachers, and students in grades 3 through 8 completed online surveys that were considered in the application process. |
