| Among the nonvoters, 13-year-old Madeleine McLean had some answers wise beyond her years. Sporting a T-shirt with the phrase "Idaho says NO to replacing teachers with laptops," McLean explained her concern over Propositions 1, 2 and 3. Though she is still five years away from being able to vote, she indicated an educated interest in the controversial propositions in question. McLean stated, "My mom got me this shirt yesterday, and it's for Props 1, 2 and 3. And I think that's important because I would rather learn from a teacher than from a laptop." |
